Leading food and drink magazine delicious initially engaged Zone to help them devise a strategy for their move into the digital world.

We devised a website based on the print title's archive of recipes, providing a cost-effective source of content to enable us to launch a site quickly.  We developed user-upload functionality and invited users to add their own recipes to the site, and set up the site to ensure the recipe index is highly-optimised for search engine spiders.

Subsequent site updates have added e-commerce functions to allow users to subscribe to the magazine, as well as incorporating online advertising formats and a Marketplace to meet the needs of the print title's classified advertisers.

An ongoing search marketing campaign comprising both organic and paid-search activity has helped grow traffic consistently since launch, with 2009 figures showing a 60 per cent year-on-year increase.

We have provided an advanced Google Analytics implementation to give delicious a much greater understanding of user behaviour, including e-commerce transactions across multiple channels and an ongoing focus on key performance metrics.

The delicious website now attracts an audience of 250,000 unique users per month, generating more than 750,000 page impressions.
