Zone created Hints for a Modern Gentleman as an online magazine to improve the search engine performance of Charles Tyrwhitt's e-commerce site.

The brief called for the creation of a series of pages featuring appropriate keywords.  Our editorial approach enabled us to delivery an effective content solution which also served to add engaging, brand-enhancing content to the Charles Tyrwhitt site - content for people, and not just for search engine spiders.

We conceived Hints for a Modern Gentleman as a flexible, scalable editorial device which could provide a home for a wide range of content, from practical fashion advice to more general lifestyle content.  Zone developed a simple content management solution, enabling us to provide finished HTML pages, complete with metadata, to Charles Tyrwhitt for immediate upload to the site.

Within weeks of the first pages launching, pages were spidered by the major search engines and the site achieved page one rankings on Google for key search terms.  By working closely with the team at Charles Tyrwhitt, we have proved that pages do not just deliver traffic to the site, but also that readers spent a significant amount of time on the page, and subsequently go on to purchase.

We have followed up the initial success of the project with an ongoing delivery of content, including a series of video clips which have also been distributed via YouTube.

Hints for a Modern Gentleman has been highlighted as a case study in the SEO Masterclass run by UTalk Marketing, and we are continuing to work with Charles Tyrwhitt to create engaging and highly-effective content to enrich their e-commerce platform.
